CHRISTMAS 2015

Christmas is undoubtedly my favourite time of the year! The best part? I get to dig into my advent calendar one last time.

Merry Christmas!

A LITTLE CHRISTMAS CHEER

Wow, is it just me or has December just flown by?  How is it already Christmas NEXT WEEK?!  Albeit, all my holiday shopping is purchased and wrapped (Holla!), Christmas cards have already been addressed and mailed and have already made it safely to their new homes and Chachi has already received her annual Christmas sweater.  But I feel like I was so busy getting things done in a rush that I haven't had any time to just sit back, relax and take it all in.

So here's to all you lovely people who are like me.  It's not about buying everyone the most perfect present or rushing to get all your last minute parcels in the mail or freaking out because you have yet to find your cat the most perfect Christmas sweater (although, I'll admit, this is quite necessary ;).  Take this time to spend it with the people you love.  Call your mom.  Bring your co-workers peppermint mochas just because.  Sing Christmas Carols.  Hug your friends.  Most importantly, remember to do this each and every day of the year.  Life is too short to always be in a rush.

Cat sweaters and all.

HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PORTRAITS : ETANA PART I

Oh look, it's Etana again!  She is graduating this year so we thought it would be only fitting to do a practice run of her senior photos.  We took these a few weeks ago when the weather was actually nice.  I see the sun shining today, but I am not holding my breath - this past week has been a series of rain, wind and more rain.

Here are a few of my favourites...

Etana, thanks again for always being so awesome!  It's always a joy to get you in front of my lens and we always have so much fun...I can't wait for part II.

Happy Friday!

SUNRISE RIDGE WEDDING : TAWNYA + JOSH

The day began on a sweet note as the rain droplets delicately fell from the sky outside and the laughter was warm and smooth like honey on the inside of Tawnya's suite at the Sunrise Ridge Waterfront Resort in Parksville.  As the last few curls were set and smoothed, Tawnya and her bridesmaids sipped on mimosas as they set the finishing touches for the day.  Tawnya and Josh being high school sweethearts, you couldn't help but feel the happiness and love in the air.  Champagne was popped, glasses clinked and tears were shed as Tawnya and Josh were set to say their I do's in front of close family and friends - which was ten years in the making!

Tawnya and Josh, words simply cannot express how grateful I am to have been a part of such a wonderful day.  Love was found in every nook and cranny and I was treated like an old friend from friends and family alike.  I truly, from the bottom of my heart wish you nothing but the happiest future for the both of you as you embark on this new chapter of your lives together.

I assisted along side Adina from Wren and Rook Photography and her second shooter, Dana, back in July for Josh and Tawnya's wedding day.  Each time we photograph together I feel luckier and luckier.  Adina, here's to many more weddings together! *clink, cheers!*

Tawnya's GORGEOUS shoes from ALDO.  I think my heart may have skipped a beat when I laid my eyes on these bad boys.

I absolutely LOVE this shot of Tawnya getting ready with her girls.  The expression on her friends face in the background is priceless.  They were the sweetest girls, all of them.

No wedding is complete without a morning run to Starbucks!

After the ceremony, we made our way over to Rathtrevor Park for portraits.

Ladies and gents, Mr & Mrs. Mullen.

Happy Wednesday!
